Where I’ve worked:

  • I currently work as a Community Manager at indie game studio Doborog!

I handle our community spaces, and strive to keep our space welcoming and lighthearted. To that end, I also work to understand and incorporate an international audience (especially our amazing Russian & Chinese audience), as well as integrate existing fan communities.

I promote positive customer experience via support inbox replies and responses to negative Steam reviews. More varied tasks also fall under my purview, including creating meme content to engage the community, handling reports of cheating / hacking / teaming, and logging the occasional bug.

  • I've worked with indie game PR team / publisher Future Friends! I provide contract-based community support (including Steam forum management and Discord moderation) to Future Friends' published titles Exo One and Omno, as well as yet-unreleased game Mars First Logistics.

As part of this work, I provide developers with market research on similar communities, which helps define their game’s audience. With this info, I define the tone for speaking with the community and identify existing / potential issues & strengths.

  • Started in 2018, LTUX Expo is a yearly anime & gaming con boasting an average of 1,300 attendees. I helped found the new event and coordinate the indie game room room in the following years.

As a coordinator, I created social media posts (for Twitter, Facebook, and Discord) to promote developers, coordinated with developers / press / venue, and created the expo’s table layouts.

As well, I was responsible for determining our target audience, training new coordinators, and more! Some of our press coverage can be found here: MI Tech News | MI Geek Scene
